Your preparation checklist
A tick means you have the item or the task is done. Prepare conditional items when they apply to your situation.
Choose Save as PDF in the print window. The printout includes the full list, ticks, notes and source information.
Quantities are an organisational starting point for one newborn and depend on factors such as laundry. They are not medical requirements. Adapt the plan individually for multiple births or particular needs.
For limited space, we include a changing mat on a safe floor surface and leave out a separate changing unit. Safe sleep needs stay the same.
Start with the essentials and items that apply to your situation. You can plan convenient extras once you know your needs.
All displayed items are ready. Turn off the filter to see the full list.
For example, a size, an expected gift or someone who can help. Do not enter confidential information.
Safety before the number of things
Place your baby on their back for sleep. Prepare a separate infant sleep space with a firm, flat, well-fitting mattress and a fitted sheet. Pillows, bumpers, baby nests, soft toys and loose covers do not belong in the sleep space. Check each product’s intended use, instructions, complete parts and condition.
How to use the generator
This is a starting point for one baby’s first weeks. Change your answers, review conditional items and adjust quantities. For things you already own, check their condition, history and current manufacturer warnings. Saving on your device is optional; it does not create an account or a shared online list.
